A SEK El Castillo alumnus named Andrey Maese became World Champion Lifesaving 2016. The Lifesaving sport is a spectacular sport which is derived from the actual rescue work in the water. The components include combinations of technique, tactics, strength and speed. The sport consists out of match elements in the pool, the «Pool Events» and on the beach and in the sea, the «Ocean Events».
Andrey Maese, ex alumno de nuestro colegio SEK El Castillo, se ha convertido en el Campeón del Mundo de Socorrismo 2016. El socorrismo deportivo es un deporte que se deriva de la labor de recate en el agua. Combina habilidades tecnicas, tacticas, fuerza y rapidez. Tiene dos vertientes, una en la piscina y otra en el mar, siendo en ambas el objetivo el mismo: sacar del agua elementos como maniquís o sacos pesados simulando personas.
