El pasado Jueves 7 mayo 2020 hora, 16:00 h, Marcos Concepción Raba realizó una conferencia con el título: “Repercusión de la crisis del Covid-19 en los países del tercer mundo” para todos los alumnos de 4 de la Eso y Bachillerato dentro de la actividad de «Oratoria, Debate y Modelos MUN». Los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de preguntar al experto sobre la crisis del Covid19 en los países más necesitados.
Marcos Concepción Raba began working in the non-profit sector as an aid worker in Brazil, between MatoGrosso and Rio de Janeiro. There, he experienced first-hand the scarcity of funds and the relevance of fundraising in the task of transforming social reality. Once back in Spain, he worked in different NGOs in the field of social action and international cooperation as head of development, fundraising and coordination and management tasks; he has been Director of the Spanish Fundraising Association and member of the Board of Directors of the European Fundraising Association. Later on, he joined the Continental Management of Fundraising and Communications for Latin America at SOS Children’s Villages, being in charge of income generation in 20 countries, until after more than a million kilometres travelled he decided to return to Europe. Currently he is in charge of the development of new markets at Action Against Hunger International, still working in South America, but also India, Philippines, etc.
